“How does blockchain work”, “What defines cryptocurrency” – the Polish American Business Club hosted Thomas Park who walked us through the evolution of cryptocurrencies.
Thomas Park is a Banking and Technology Executive with 20+ years of broad senior level experience in the areas of Payments/Transfers, Regulatory & Compliance Technology, Program & Project Management, FX/Derivatives/Treasury, and Business Development. He has worked with large global corporations like UBS, MUFG Bank of Tokyo, HSBC, Lucent Technologies, and General Mills to startups including his own venture capital backed technology firm. Most recently, he served as SVP and Head of KYC for Brown Brothers Harriman with teams in Krakow and NYC. For HSBC, he lead a global team of 220 across nine different locations to implement a global digital payment application for all of HSBC North America.
Thomas received his MBA in General Management from the Darden School of Business and his BA in Economics and English from the University of Virginia. While in college, he served as an US Congressional Intern. He is an avid reader of history and modern global politics, plays the saxophone and violin, and loves to practice his Polish if anyone has the patience.
